1978 Ford Courier SOLD

Sold on 2003.07.03 to Carlos Galdamez. The end of an era, but the possible beginning of a new one.

It's old, it's ugly, but it's reliable.

I am the original owner and this was the only new car I have ever bought, so I have some sentimental attachment to it. The most obvious problem is rust; It has been outside all its life and I was never much on washing and waxing. Other than the cosmetics it is very sound. It still has the original engine, clutch and transmission (four-speed manual). The odometer has only been around once. The mileage as of 2003.3.3 is 122,737, and I currently drive it 5-10 miles per week to keep it limber. If you're in the area, it can be seen parked behind 2137 Elden Av in Costa Mesa.

The pictures should answer most questions, but here is some additional information about stuff that you can't see.

• Last passed Smog Check 2002 August at about 121,600 miles
• Coolant flushed and replaced 2002 June at about 121,400
• Lower ball joints replaced and front end aligned 2001 October at about 120,200 miles
• Timing belt, spark plugs, distributor cap and rotor replaced 2001 March at about 119,300 miles
• Alternator and voltage regulator replaced 2000 December at about 118,300 miles
• Brakes serviced and front brake pads replaced 2000 October at about 117,600 miles
• Shock absorbers replaced 2000 March at about 117,000 miles
• Oil changed every 3-4 months; usually less than 1000 miles. Back when I drove it more 3000 miles was the interval.
